Altar Guild
Guild Chair: Bob Ranando
The Altar Guild is a ministry of dedication that works closely with our priest to prepare worship spaces These preparations include Sunday morning liturgies, weekday services, funerals, weddings, baptisms and other special services or events in and out of the liturgical calendar. Duties also include maintenance of the sacristy, ordering supplies,
replacing candles, polishing brass and silver and proper post-service cleaning and storing. There is a pre/cleanup day scheduled twice a year (usually a Saturday morning) to ge the sacristy and sanctuary ready for the Christmas and Easter seasons.
The schedule of volunteers runs from September through May and requires a two- or sometimes three-person team who work together for their assigned month.
During summer months, one or two members are free to sign up any Sunday they wish to allow for vacation time, enjoying the summer and a break from monthly duties.

On Sundays, we are visible during the 10am service as the Prayer Team when two members are available to pray during Holy Communion for anyone who approaches us with needs. Find us at near the high altar where we pray for those who need God's healing, support and guidance. We appreciate the trust our congregation extends to us so we can join you in expressive a thoughtful, sensitive and personal prayer.
As a team we also offer confidential prayers for needs identified to us throughout the week. Members of our team are available to call or visit those who are home-bound and in need of pastoral care.
If you or you know of someone in need of a supportive note-card, a phone call from one of our Prayer Team members, or might wish to be added to our prayer list, please contact the church office.
