Growing in Faith
Faith Development at the Church of Saint Asaph
At the Church of Saint Asaph, faith is a lifelong journey shaped by learning, worship, community, and service. Guided by the Episcopal Church’s Charter for Lifelong Christian Formation, we embrace an inclusive and holistic approach to spiritual growth.
We welcome people of every age, identity, and background, recognizing that each person’s story enriches our common life. Formation here is grounded in curiosity, meaningful relationships, and practices that nurture mind, body, and spirit. Through intergenerational learning, thoughtful engagement with Scripture and tradition, and a deep commitment to justice and compassion, we grow together into the people God calls us to be.
Children & Family Formation
At Saint Asaph, we nurture the faith of our youngest members through joy, wonder, and connection.
Children’s Chapel
Every Sunday at
9:45 AM in the lower level, children gather for an engaging, age-appropriate exploration of the day’s Scripture. Through story, prayer, and conversation, they encounter the themes of worship in ways designed just for them. Children rejoin the congregation in time to participate fully in
Holy Communion.
Monthly Family Events
Once a month, families come together for intergenerational fellowship, prayer, and activities that connect with the rhythms of the Church Year. These gatherings help children and adults build relationships, deepen faith at home and in community, and share in the joy of forming disciples together.
All children and families are welcome—come grow with us!
Sunday Forums
Following Coffee Hour after the 10:00 AM worship service, our Sunday Forums offer a welcoming space to learn, connect, and grow in faith together. Each week features a conversation or presentation that deepens our understanding of what it means to live as Christians in today’s world.
Forum topics include:
- Conversations with our Outreach partners
- Themes related to holistic human development
- Engagement with current events and global issues
- Exploration of our Episcopal tradition and Holy Scripture
Whether you’re new to Saint Asaph or a longtime member, Sunday Forums are an inviting place to ask questions, share insights, and build community as we seek to follow Christ with curiosity and compassion.
Midweek Offerings
Throughout the year, Saint Asaph offers a variety of midweek opportunities to learn, pray, and connect with others. These gatherings include book studies, Bible study, discussion groups, and times for prayer and worship, providing space to deepen your faith in community.
Midweek programs are typically held on Wednesdays at noon in the conference room and 6:00 PM at the rectory. Offerings shift seasonally, so be sure to check the parish announcements for current topics and schedules.
Come as you are—there’s a place for you in the rhythm of our midweek life together.
