The Reverend Andrew Kellner, Rector
email: rector@saintasaphs.org
The Rev. Andrew Kellner has served in ministry in the Episcopal Church for over 18 years. Since 2023, he has been the Rector of the Church of Saint Asaph, where he is passionate about vibrant, welcoming worship that is rooted in tradition and brought to life through music, symbol, and the arts.
Ordained to the priesthood in 2016, Fr. Andrew previously served as Chaplain at St. James School, a close ministry partner, where he helped foster a strong sense of community, faith formation, and care for the whole person. Before coming to Saint Asaph, he spent seven and a half years on diocesan staff as Canon for Family and Young Adult Ministry, developing programs that brought people of all ages deeper into faith, community, and service. He continues to lead Servant Year, the diocese’s Episcopal Service Corps program, helping young adults grow in faith, live in intentional community, and discern their call in the world.
Fr. Andrew is also active in the wider Episcopal Church. He has served on the board of Forma, the Youth Ministry Council of the Episcopal Church , the Episcopal Service Corps board and advisory council, and currently serves on the Standing Committee of the Diocese of Pennsylvania, where he has also served as President. He has served on the Commission on Ministry, supporting the discernment and formation of those exploring calls to ordained leadership.
At Saint Asaph, Fr. Andrew has worked closely with parish leaders to strengthen the church’s mission and long-term sustainability. Together, the community has addressed a structural deficit, increased pledge giving, restarted the endowment, secured significant grants and gifts, and begun reimagining how the campus can serve both the parish and the wider community in new and creative ways.
Fr. Andrew’s approach to ministry is rooted in relationships, collaboration, and a deep belief that the Church is called to love and serve all people. His theological training includes study at several institutions, including The Washington Theological Union, Luther Seminary, The General Theological Seminary, Sewanee: The University of the South, and Drew University.
Originally from Michigan, Fr. Andrew finds renewal in the outdoors—especially hiking and sailing—and enjoys cooking and baking. He is married to David Kasievich, and together they are the proud parents of their son, Kayden.
